Aren't Birthdays supposed to be happy?

Most people celebrate their birthdays. I like to celebrate a birthday WEEK! Well, this one was quite possibly the worst. Why you ask?

• A couple of things happened differently than I ever imagined, and I can't elaborate about them on here because people involved might read this. But, it really upset me.

• Then, my Aunt passed away. She's been battling cancer for quite some time, and we all knew it was coming.... But she's a special Aunt. The matriarch of my Dad's family, and she was everyone's hero.

• Then, Wes got a pay cut. And the dryer we thought was fixed, broke again. And I was stressing over an event I had Friday night. It was a crazy week to say the least.

But, after work Friday night, I stopped by a friend's house and had a really good long talk with their Mom. Which I haven't done in awhile, and it actually did make me feel better.

So, my birthday rolls around, and I just wanna hide under the covers all day. But I have a 2 year old that is ready to take on the world at 6am. So, I decide to take him shopping, and then after Wes got off of work, we went to lunch at BJ's.... complete with amazing Pizookie! It was Landon's first experience with Pizookie and he exclaimed "This is delicious!". What a smart kid.

I had planned on going to lunch with a bunch of friends, but to be quite honest, I was having a pity party. I get this way on my birthday every year. I miss my best friends, and they all live out of state. So that kinda bums me out. Then, two of my great friends couldn't make it to lunch, so I decided to cancel.

Instead, Dana came over and we watched football and talked about... stuff. And we ate massive amounts of cake.

I got midnight and wake up calls from the best friends, and so many birthday messages throughout the day that my phone died. It was exactly what I needed.

Thank you to everyone who made my day special! It was a good birthday after all :)
